Rowe Alumni Wanted for Woodside Advisory Board

Hi Everyone --

This summer, a small group of us got together at Rowe to discuss the next steps for the development of the Woodside Diversity Program.

We agreed that the logical next stage is to embark on a strategic planning process to ensure that the Woodside Program will continue well into the future, that it will grow, and that it is a program that meets the needs of a new, more diverse community.

We are looking for committed Rowies who would like to take on a leadership role in creating the future of the Woodise Program and Rowe Camp itself. The Advisory Board will consist of 6-10 people who will develop a strategic plan over the course of five Saturday meetings at Rowe this coming year.

If you cannot commit to the advisory board, but are interested in being involved in other ways, you may consider being involved in one of the two advisory board subcommittees. The Development Subcommittee will work on projects such as the phone-a-thon, the annual appeal, major gifts solicitation and the Benefit Concert. The Program Subcommittee will be responsible for working towards diversity in staff and programming.

If you have an interest in being a part of this group, please be in touch with one of the following people:

hi Felicity:

I know I said I'd help a few years ago but things got a little scary with my job situation and I put everything else on hold. I think I'm ready to make a committment to do something out here. I wouldn't mind sitting on the board if that were done via conference call mostly.

Thanks,

Jules

Good causes all around! I figure heres a group of incredably giving, loving, equal oppurtunity folks and though this does not have to do particularly with Rowe, Its a call out to Rowies, because I know of all people rowies will be the ones to really take an interest and and make a move and step up to bat!

I would like to become involved in the Woodside Diversity Program. I work with a wide variety of individuals from the vary young to elders. I believe with my awareness of Different Grant funding Programs both State and Federal that I would be an Asset to the group. I also have a wide network of many different state and federal employees that would benefit greatly.

Sincerly,

Terry S. Forrest
